But, when life-changing news hits, he decides the time has come to fight back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Coming Tide\" width=\"525\" height=\"295\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3vgos-7tYr8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt31869762\/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Coming Tide<\/a> was created as an experiment to see what could be achieved working entirely alone with limited resources.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was filmed with a second-hand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canon.co.uk\/for_home\/product_finder\/digital_cinema\/cinema_eos_cameras\/eos_c300\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canon C300<\/a><strong> <\/strong>and a single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aputure.com\/products\/amaran-150c\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">studio light<\/a>, then edited with stock footage, and enhanced with some basic visual effects.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim was to see how close to a big-budget film an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm15381594\/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">actor<\/a> can get, whilst producing a glorified self-tape, at home alone.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the narcissistic age of the selfie, an embittered middle-aged man mourns the demise of society.
